JAKARTA - The realization of Multi development goals (MDGs) by 2015 is in doubt due to very high-debts payment load. Thus, the Indonesian Government will renegotiate its debts in order to reach those targets. “If we can prove that MDGs can not be reached by 2015, some of our debts might be converted. I think we can do it in the next one or two years”, said the State Minister for National Development Planning/ head of The National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS), Syahrial Loetan, at Jakarta, Thursday (26/9). Syahrial also said that if the Indonesian Government has ability to give proof that MDGs can not be reached by 2015, it might proposes the debts renegotiation.

Sukabumi does not need to wait until 2015 to reach eights of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). This year, eight of MDGs are already reached of Sukabumi.

It has been said by Head of District of Sukabumi, Muslikh Abdussyukur on Friday (17/10) after the “Stand Up Take Action” campaign at Merdeka Sport Center, Sukabumi. “We only need improvement,” said Muslikh.

Ministers of environment and finance from various countries, including Indonesia, were gathered at Poznan, Poland. They discussed steps as responses to climate change.

The meeting was held in the middle of anxiety that financial crisis might shatter the efforts from Governments and industries to against global warming. In the meeting, ministers and finance officers were learnt fiscal and non budgetary instruments in favor to help countries on reducing glasshouse gas emissions and promoting energy efficiency.
